I hope everyone has enjoyed the beautiful weather this week! Over the next few weeks we will be learning more about life cycles (plants, butterflies, frogs, bees). We will read books like I Gotta Go, I Gotta Go (which examines the monarch’s migratory process), as well as 10 Little Caterpillars and Waiting for Wings by Lois Ehlert. We are waiting for our caterpillars to arrive so we can watch the process of metamorphosis.

This coordinates well with all of the gardening we have been doing! The children have been working hard to plant the seeds and seedlings that will produce our fruits and vegetables this summer and into next school year!

Don’t forget! Our field trip to Emerald City is next Thursday. Please, if you signed up to be a chaperone we need you to attend. A field trip is neither fun or safe unless we have enough parent support. If you paid and signed up to help we need your help. Also if your child ever gets car sick please let us know so we can plan accordingly. Please bring your student fed and toileted by 8:45 (we will be departing at 9:00 sharp). The bus will return between 11:45-12:00.

Our letter of the week is Y! Please send in your child’s Y pictures by Wednesday with their name on the back.
